Hi, How can we help?

What is Head to Head?

Head to Head (H2H) races are bookmaker bets, which use fixed odds betting. In a head to head race, each runner’s performance is evaluated against ONE other runner from the same race. This evaluation is done for every possible combination of two horses in the race.

Example: There are three runners, A – B – C racing against each other. We estimate the following probabilities:

  • A beats B
  • A beats C
  • B beats C

The estimated probabilities of each horse are then added up to get the final probability of each horse winning the race.

The two selected horses must run the race, whoever finishes ahead of the other is the winner. If one selection is deemed a non-runner, bets will be void and refunded. Should both horses start the race and one selection is later disqualified, the horse who finishes the race is the winner and the disqualified horse marked as the loser, with stake not returned.
