What is a Free/Risk Free Bet, and how do I use it?
Free Bet
A Free Bet allows you to place a bet without using your own money. Should the bet you place be lost, you will only lose the Free Bet. If you win you will receive the winnings, minus the stake. For example:
You receive a €10 Free Bet and place this on a market with odds of 1.60. The potential winnings would be calculated as €10 × 1.60 − €10 = €6 (stake × odds − stake).
Risk Free Bet
A Risk Free Bet allows you to place a bet with your own money, with no risk of losing it. You should have funds on your account to cover the stake. Should the bet you place be lost, you will receive your stake back. If a winning bet, you will receive the full winnings.
Steps to use
- Select an eligible market where you wish to place your bet.
- Tick the "Free Bet" or "Risk Free Bet" box inside your Betslip.
- Place the bet and wait for the result. (note that a Risk Free Bet requires you to have the funds available on your account, as the bet will be placed with your own money)
The net winnings from both a Free Bet and a Risk Free Bet are considered bonus money. These will need to be wagered once at minimum odds of 1.50 within 7 days.
